MERN stack Food Delivery App on mobile, tablet and laptop

Italian Restaurant App

A full stack MERN food delivery app. It incorporates features like add to, delete from and update shopping basket, Stripe checkout, user dashboard, admin dashboard, order state control, authentication. See the code on my Github repository here.

This is my blog built with Node.js, Express, EJS and MongoDB. I keep developing it every day and update the content regularly. I find it a great tool to practise my skiils. See the code on my Github repository here.

Website for LC Animal Care

This is a static website for a dog trainer.
It incorporates some Bootstrap elements as well as jQuery. Read the success story here.

Project Developer Page

This is a static website that I designed and developed as a technical challenge. It's got a non-standard layout and I guess you could call it quirky, but gives a great user experience and has full accessibility.
There is also a button to toggle between dark and light mode.

About me

Hi, my name is Lena

I'm a web designer and frontend web developer currently based in Newport, South Wales.

I have a passion for designing and building websites. I make it my goal to use neat CSS with a number of necessary utilty classes.

I also enjoy creating animations to make my websites engaging and modern, yet try to keep them subtle enough (my portfolio website excluded) and below the annoyance level.

My other passion is reading. I love fiction, especially fantasy with a dragon or two.

Before I started learning how to code I got a BA in English Philology and a postgraduate degree in Linguistics.

Work Attitude

I love learning new things and I'm always enthusiastic about projects that I work on.

One of my strongest assets is self-discipline. I set a goal and work tirelessly to accomplish it. I don't give up easily, even in stressful situations.

I love challenges and strongly believe that a positive attitude is the key to solving any problem.
